FLOWERING CRABS
All
of our flowering crabs are selected for hardiness in zone 4 or colder and
have fruit that stays on the tree through winter.
Plant in the full sun and mulch
1' from the trunk out to 1 foot past the drip line.
Adams has a globe like shape, bright pink flowers and glossy red fruit. Leaf color is green with a slight reddish cast.
Centurion is upright in shape
with rosy red flowers and pinkish red fruit. Foliage is reddish in spring
and bronze-green in summer.
Donald Wyman is rounded and spreading in shape with profuse white flowers
and very red fruit. Leaves are glossy dark green.
Harvest Gold is upright and full
in shape with white flowers and bright yellow fruit that turns burnt orange
after the first hard freeze. Foliage is dark green.
